Description:A group of eight officials standing in farm yard with buildings behind. Photograph taken during the visit of Minister for Agriculture, Mr R.S. Hudson M.P., to the Staffordshire War Agricultural Executive Committee at Mr P.H. Mercer's farm, Manor Farm, Harlaston.

Percy Mercer started farming at Manor Farm in about 1923 and gained a reputation for his herd of Large White pigs. The Mercer family continued to breed pigs at Manor farm until it was sold in 1983.

Robert Hudson M.P. is standing fifth from left, wearing plus-fours.
