Description:The Elektra Porcelain Company manufactured art pottery and a wide range of flower pots, bowls vases, novelty animals at their Edensor Road Works . This ware was produced under the Zanobia trade name (from the 1920s) and Vulcan Ware from around the 1940s. The works started in Longton in 1924 although a pot works stood here long before then.

This view shows the two large updraught hovel ovens in the foreground, which dominated the works. The works were demolished in 1975 and the site now lies beneath the A50 road.
