Description:This unnamed cobbled alleyway links Market Street to Sutherland Road in Longton. It was known as 'Handcuff Alley' as it was a way to take prisoners from the Sutherland Road Police Station to the old Longton Court House in Commerce Street, which was demolished in 1950. The brick wall to the right belongs to Park Hall Pottery, built in 1878.
