Date:6th of January 1968

Description:A damaged de-railed carriage near Hixon Crossing. The rail accident occurred at the level crossing just outside Hixon when the inter-city Manchester to London express hit a lorry. The lorry, which had a police escort, was carrying a transformer to the English Electric depot on the disused Hixon airfield.
