Description:A postcard view looking along Bird Street with the Post Office on the left and the Swan Hotel on the right. Around 1970 the Post Office was converted into an arts centre, but has since been demolished and replaced by New Minster House, a new development with a restaurant, retail area and several apartments. The Swan Hotel closed around 2000 and was converted into apartments.

This “Dainty” Series postcard was franked in Bulwell, Nottingham on 9 August 1917 and sent to an address in Lincoln.
