Description:This postcard view looks north-west along Bird Street with the ‘New’ Post Office on the right. In the background are the spires of Lichfield Cathedral. he Post Office closed in early 1968. The Arts Centre opened in 1972 and closed in February 1995. The building has since been demolished and replaced by New Minster House, a new development with a restaurant, retail area and several apartments.

This postcard was franked in Lichfield on 4 September 1905 and sent to an address in Reading.
