Description:E.J. Hurlstone's shop on High Street, Eccleshall. They were printers, booksellers, stationers and also had a fancy goods department. The shop is now (2020) occupied by Eccleshall Pharmacy.

Edward John Hurlstone was born in Eccleshall in 1863 and in the early part of his working life assisted his mother Ellen in her stationers and hairdressers shop on the High Street. By 1897 Edward was running his own stationers and printing business which continued until his death in 1939. E.J. Hurlstone was a prolific publisher of postcards of local views from around 1915 into the 1930s.
