Description:Market stalls and traders in the Market Place, Uttoxeter. In the foreground china is laid out 'on the stones'. The left hand side of the black and white Mock Tudor building was at the time occupied by John Furbanks, draper, costumier and silk mercer. The right hand side belonged to Derby Old Bank, and later by the National Westminster Bank who later still rebuilt the premises. Next door, to the right is Ratcliffe's ironmongers shop.

Photograph by the Rev. C.F.L. Barnwell (1853-1933) who was Vicar of Stramshall from 1879 to 1933, and who was a keen amateur historian and photographer.
