Description:A postcard view of the Institute on the High Street, Church Eaton. In 1886 a public house was converted into a Men’s Reading Room and Club which later became known as the Institute. Over the entrance porch there is a date 1892 carved into the timber and this is thought to be when the building was given to the parish by members of the Wyley family. The building has a red brick base over which there is half-timbering in an elaborate Arts and Crafts style.
