Description:A postcard view of Stretton Hall which was built soon after 1700 by John Congreve of Congreve. In the mid-18th century the estate was sold to the Conolly family, who in turn sold it to the Moncktons of Somerford Hall, (near Brewood) in 1845. Major alterations, including the addition of a third storey, took place in about 1860.
This postcard was franked in Stretton on 30 October 1908 and sent to an address in Rodbaston, near Penkridge.
