Date:17th of April 1954

Description:This view of locomotive 42319 standing at the Churnet Valley platform at Uttoxeter Station is thought to have been taken on Market Day on 17 April 1954. This train is probably the 3.00pm awaiting departure and then travelling on via Leek to Manchester.

This locomotive was for many years a resident of Macclesfield loco shed having been allocated there in LMS days. It was built around 1928 and disposed of around 1963.
