Description:Lantern slide view of a horse-drawn van with man in the driver's seat. The Stafford Knot and Queen Victoria's cypher on the side of the van indicate that this is an official vehicle, and is probably a prison or police van used for transporting prisoners from the railway station to Stafford Gaol or for trial at the Shire Hall court rooms.
Photograph believed to have been taken by Walter Williams (1876-1929) of Stafford.
