Date:11th of November 1928

Description:A postcard view taken to mark the occasion of the unveiling of Uttoxeter’s War Memorial on 11th November 1928. The Memorial was carved by Robert Bridgman & Sons of Lichfield, and was unveiled by Colonel Ratcliffe, a leading commander of the North Staffordshire Regiment during the First World War.

On the left is the Lion Hotel, in the centre St. Mary’s Church, and the shops of H.Woolley & Son and Pratt's are visible on right.
