Description:Owned by the Conduit Colliery Company, Conduit Colliery No.3 was first sunk in 1858 but it was some years before coal production started. It was the largest of the Conduit collieries with three shafts. The Conduit Colliery Company was purchased by Littleton Collieries Ltd. in 1930 for £50,000. It closed in 1949 and demolition commenced in 1958.
