Description:W.J. Robins' horse-drawn hearse and carriage outside the North Western Hotel, Station Road, Stafford. Walter James Robins was born in Aylsham, Norfolk in 1846 and by 1881 was working in Stafford as a draper, later becoming director of Brrokfields' funeral department. By 1911 he had set up an undertaker's business based at 29a Earl Street. At the time of his death on 19 January 1916 he was living with his wife and son at 37 Newport Road.
