Description:Wendon Lodge was one of the entrance lodges to the Beaudesert estate, situated close to the junction of Rugeley Road and Startley Lane. It has since been altered and extended and is now (2024) a private residence. The man in the photograph is probably Henry Cockayne, one of the estate gamekeepers, aged 41 at the time and living at Wendon Lodge with his wife Annie and son Edward.
