Description:Pictured is the front cover of the November 1976 edition of The Sword, the Parish magazine of St. Michael’s Church in Brereton, Rugeley. This was published by the Benhill Press Ltd., Rugeley.
Launched in June 1956 by the recently appointed Vicar of Brereton Parish - Father Ronald Cason: the title was chosen as it was "sharp, penetrating and wielded by St Michael" (to whom the church is dedicated). The sword design is taken from Brereton's War Memorial which features the downward facing sword.
