Description:The menu card for a complimentary dinner held for Staffordshire County Cricket Club at the North Stafford Hotel, Stoke-on-Trent on 27th November 1911. Staffordshire were Minor Counties Cricket Competition champions in 1911. The Earl of Lichfield was in the Chair, and this menu belonged to one of the team, W.H. Twigg of Weeping Cross House, Stafford. On the left had side are the season's results.

Walter Hanbury Twigg was born at Weeping Cross on 6 May 1883. He was educated at Repton School and at Kings College, University of London and trained as an electrical engineer. He died in Stafford on 5 February 1963. A talented sportsman, he represented Stafford and Staffordshire at cricket and hockey, and was an England hockey international, playing for his country on 8 occasions in 1909 and 1910.
