Description:A view of Swiss Cottage , 88 Main Road, Brereton. Swiss Cottage was built in 1880 for the Rev. Edward Samson’s Curate. Rev. Samson was Vicar of Pipe Ridware until 1900 when he became Vicar of Brereton. He died in 1921. The last owner of Swiss Cottage was Mr Cliff Oldacre.

Swiss Cottage was set back from the road with a long front garden. There was a terracotta block high up in the left wall with the date 1880 along with intertwined letters E S. The building was demolished during October 1996 and the site became occupied by Brereton Surgery.
