Description:Memorial to locally-born poet Thomas Ernest Hulme (1883-1917) who was born at Gratton Hall Farm and was killed in action in Belgium in 1917. He is commemorated with this inscription on the Hulme family grave in St. Luke's churchyard in Endon although his remains were buried at Koksijde military cemetery in Belgium. The inscription is identical to one featured on a memorial window to Hulme in Endon church.
