Description:The Wheel public house on Wolverhampton Road, Codsall.

Thomas Bentley in 1849 owned a house, garden and croft measuring over an acre of land. Thomas was a wheelwright so when he was granted a licence by 1896 it was appropriate that he should call the inn the "Wheel". Outside over the entrance he hung a wheel as his sign. The annexe on the side was his workshop. The Wheel was demolished in 2005 and houses were built on the site.
