Description:The woodland was created to commemorate the centenary of Burton's local newspaper, the Burton Mail, and was opened on 2 May 1998. Over 4,500 native trees were planted.

This Image is from a collection of photographs of Burton upon Trent commissioned and assembled by Burton upon Trent Civic Society as a record of the town in the year 2000.
