Description:St. Peter's Church entrance seen through an avenue of trees. The war memorial and clock over the church entrance can also be seen. St. Peters Church, Marchington was built in 1742-4 by Richard Trubshaw, the Little Haywood architect. The chancel was rebuilt in 1892. The tomb by the window to the left is that of Sir Walter Vernon of Houndhill (died 1593) and his wife.
