Description:A color-tinted postcard view looking east over Elmore Park's pool in Rugeley towards the town centre and Horse Fair. Fed by the Rising Brook, the pool was originally part of the Hagley Hall estate and may have been a moat. The pool has an island which, it is thought, may have once contained a 14th century hall. This was replaced by Richard Weston in 1636 with a new hall slightly upstream on higher ground.

This postcard was published by A W Bourne, Leicester.
