Description:Goalmouth action from a Stafford Rangers match at Marston Road.

Founded in 1876, Stafford Rangers F.C. have been playing at their Marston Road ground since 1896. After World War 1 the ground started to be redeveloped: four huts were purchased from the Great War Army Training Camps on Cannock Chase, and banking, dressing rooms, offices and a new stand on the east side of the ground (in the background here) were built ready for the start of the 1921-22 season. A damaging fire in 1929 and neglect during World War II meant the ground needed much renovation before the start of the 1946-47 season.

In 1969 floodlights were installed and the old stand on the Marston Road side of the ground was replaced by a 450 seat stand in 1976.
