Description:Leigh Railway Station and platforms with the road and level crossing, looking north towards Cresswell. The station stood on the Uttoxeter to Stoke-on-Trent line on the North Staffordshire Railway, and was opened in 1848. The station closed in 1966 but the level crossing remains. Note the tall semaphore signal and the oil lamps.
