Description:Situated on Colliery Road, Brereton near Rugeley, this one time inn, dating from the 17th century, ceased trading in 1965 after the nearby Brereton Colliery had closed in 1960. It is referenced as "Holly Bush" on a Rugeley Parish map dated 1815. The thatched roof was replaced by tiles in in 1969. It became an antiques business belonging to Mrs Leadbeater. Now Grade 2 listed, it was extensively and extended by new owners in 2002-3 who re-instated the thatched roof.
