Description:A postcard view of the Upper Mill and Cottage on the Waterworks Site when derelict in the early 20th century.

The cottage was demolished in 1931. The Upper Mill had housed a steam engine and boiler, engine flywheel, spur driving wheel, water wheel, large flywheel and connecting rods. Until the early 1870s the Upper Mill had formed part of the working of wrought iron along with rolling and slitting mills in the Rising Brook valley, Rugeley.
