Description:The engine is the narrow gauge locomotive 'Isabel', built by W.G. Bagnall Ltd. in 1897 for the Cliffe Hill Granite Company. The engine was named after John Rupert Fitzmaurice's (1865-1949) wife Isabel (nee Bennion,1871-1905). Fitzmaurice was the Chairman of the Cliffe Hill Granite Company Limited.
She returned to Stafford in 1952 and was displayed in Victoria Park, opposite the railway station. In 1978 she was partially restored and then removed in 1984. Full restoration was completed in 1991 when she was moved to Amerton Farm as a working steam engine.
