Description:Brookfields shop was on the corner of Market Square and Greengate Street. It was run by brothers Arthur and Stuart Brookfield. In 1909 Stuart died when he fell from his horse at the top of Baswich Lane. Following Stuart's death the decision was taken to close the business. It reopened in new premises with new owners under the name of Brookfields Successors. This card show the display in the millinery department and was written in 1905.
