Description:The military railway can be seen crossing the road, left to right going down Brindley Valley and then carrying on up Penkridge Bank Road toward the White House. There is a sidings adjacent to this line whilst the main line forks in front of the White House to go alongside present day Marquis Drive towards Flint's Corner where it arcs towards the Ordnance Depot. The main line continues up Penkridge Bank Road where it splits again to virtually surround the Camp to unload supplies and give options for the train drivers to return via different routes if necessary.

The small hut on the left hand side of the image could have been the shelter for the person detailed to alter the points on the railway line to send the trains either along the road or down Brindley Valley. So many of the postcards sent home, complained of the bitter cold and the need for warm socks. Either side of the tracks are Nos. 16 and 17 Battalion Lines. The White House can be seen in the distance, the tall building to the right of the tracks.
