Description:The map of Rugeley Camp shows three Young Men's Christian Association Huts and No.1 was on the bend of Rifle Range Corner, opposite the banks, W.H. Smith & Sons shop and the Post Office. They were rather large Huts and gave the young men, most of them far from home the principles of healthy body, mind and spirit and a place to relax. They were sponsored by the organisation or a sole benefactor. When the Camps closed, all the huts were sold and a detailed description of their size and contents were advertised in the local newspapers.
