Description:The majority of the graves belong to Servicemen from both sides of the conflict who died within the Cannock Chase Camps. The majority of the men were either German Prisoners of War or New Zealanders and perished when the Spanish Flu pandemic reached the Camp in late 1918. The land for the cemetery was granted by Lord Lichfield as the local population in Rugeley were getting rather perturbed that their graveyards were filling up with non-locals. No matter what the time of the year it is a beautifully maintained military cemetery and one of the few on British soil.
