Description:Milking Bank Bridge on the Trent and Mersey Canal near Armitage. This is Bridge 61, officially designated Church Bridge. The track over the bridge gave access to farmer's fields so Milking Bank Bridge was probably its colloquial name. This stretch of the Trent and Mersey Canal was engineered by James Brindley and opened in 1770.
