Description:A postcard with the caption "The Shrine of the Sacred Heart, Abbots Bromley. Rev. Joseph Craig."

The Catholic church in Abbots Bromley was first built around 1836-1841 in the garden of Edward Pyatt, a carpenter, just off Church Lane. By 1891 it was disused and was sold. The church was renovated and dedicated to St. Alban in 1915. This postcard dates from alterations in 1925, from which point the church was known as the Sacred Heart. The marble altar dates from this period, when the priest was Joseph Craig.
