Description:The Cedar Tree Hotel in Brereton has long been a local landmark with its distinctive Cedar of Lebanon tree. The Grade II listed Regency style building dates from the early 19th century. Originally a private house known as Cedar Lodge, it was a guesthouse and restaurant from from the 1930s to the late 1960s. It was extensively enlarged in 1968-69 becoming a hotel with banqueting suite. During World War 2 it provided accommodation for officers from RAF Hednesford. Its future is currently in doubt (2019).
