Description:A view looking south-east along the A51 just past the railway arches in Rugeley, which is part of Brereton Parish. On the right, a little past Wharf Road, is an area which was know as 'The City' and beyond was an area called Marlpits. The hedge on the extreme left is where a car wash is now (2018). The building on the right is believed to have been the Nelson Inn. The houses on the left still stand.
