Description:Taken from the arched railway bridge looking down on Horsefair, Rugeley with Talbot Street on the right. The Station Hotel had previously been the Queen's Head and was in later years renamed The Tree (which had previously been its nickname) for a short period before reverting to Station Hotel once more prior to its closure. It is now a hair and beauty salon.

The message on the reverse is dated 1 June 1917 and was sent from the Soldiers' Club, Rugeley. The writer mentions a postage rate change due the following day. Interestingly the postage stamp is tilted to the right implying "With all my heart' in the secret language of stamps.

Postcard published by G. Frith, Rugeley.
