Date:1951

Description:A postcard view of Horsefair, Rugeley, looking towards the railway arches. Note the finger direction posts on the traffic island. At this time the north-south traffic would have passed through the narrow main street of Rugeley connected to this traffic island.

On the left is Lucille's dress shop. The adjacent cafe was Parchfield's Milk Bar which would become the cafe of choice for the local Teddy Boys in the 1950s and 1960s.
