Description:The thatched cottage on the right burnt down in about 1930. It stood on Newport Road, close to the entrance to Johnson Hall. The woman standing by the gate, Mrs Roper, was living here at the time this postcard view was produced.

This early postcard is postmarked 20 June 1903.
