Description:Staffordshire Gentlemen verses Staffordshire County Police, played at Milford Hall Cricket Club, June 1939. The match was drawn after County Police scored 259 for 6 declared (J. Whitfield 142 not out) and Staffs Gentlemen replied with 209 for 7.

Milford Hall C.C. were founded around 1930 and superceded Walton Cricket Club who had a ground on Oldcroft Road (just south of Elm Drive) in Walton-on-the Hill. Milford Hall's ground was formed in the parkland surrounding the Hall.
