Description:Looking west along High Green, Brewood. The mock-timber framed building is the Bridge Inn with advertisements for Ansell's ales. The shop nearest the camera is advertising Cherry Blossom shoe polish. Beyond the bridge over the Shropshire Union Canal can be seen the spire of the Roman Catholic Church of St. Mary which stands on Kiddemore Green Road, Brewood. It was built in 1843-1844 to designs by A.W.N. Pugin.
