Description:'Teddy' Buckley worked on the underground pumps at the 'Fair Lady' Colliery at Heath Hayes; so named unofficially by the miners of the Coppice Colliery in tribute to the owner's wife Mrs Bowring Hamilton of Ilam Hall. The chain was said to have been carved from a single piece of wood. Many hours of dedication must have gone into the making of this wonderful feat of craftmanship. It was displayed locally at various functions. The chain is in the collections of St. Mary's Heritage Centre, Lichfield. Note the walking sticks and perched wooden bird, also carved by Mr Buckley.

The postcard was printed by the "Advertiser" Office, Cannock.
