Description:A postcard featuring a cartoon by Bruce Bairnsfather. the caption reads "Well, if you knows of a better 'ole, go to it."

This card was sent by 'uncle John' to his nephew, he appeared to be making light of the characters in the shell hole, probably putting on a brave face for the youngster's sake. Many cards were produced for the hundreds of thousands of soldiers that passed through the training Camps across the country. It is postmarked Brocton Camp, 31 October 1916.
