Description:The Church of England Men's Society was one of the religious groups that provided facilities for the troops to enjoy a Christian environment. The card says on the back that here you were able to purchase coffee, cake, cigarettes, stamps etc. and that there was a billiard table on the right.

These buildings were staffed by volunteers and must have been a cheerier place than sitting in your Barrack Hut especially on a chilly day. There was a billiard table at one end and judging by the seating facing the other way there were Church Services held at the other end of the hut.

The location of the Church Army Hut is unknown but the Camp Plan indicates all the Huts used for Religion but does not specify which denomination.
