Description:In the only flat area in Old Acre Valley an assault course was built, with what appears to be a running track. In the foreground is one of the barbed wire entanglements to train the troops in the construction of and getting through barbed wire. Behind, suspended on timber frames, are straw filled sacks for bayonet practice. These areas were all over the Camps and normally there were trenches nearby where the soldiers could climb out of before a charge. The lighter coloured Officer's Huts of "L", "M" and "N" Lines are on the left hand side close to the valley bottom.
