Description:As Chase Road climbs out of Brocton and levels out, it passes the former Battalion Lines "H" and "I" where there are remains of the area in which the New Zealand Rifle Brigade were stationed. You would have already passed the Banks and W H Smith that had a busy trade with so many troops keeping in contact with their loved ones. The Post Office was tagged on at the end of "I" Lines just before the military railway appeared from the rear and swung toward the Ordnance Store of the Army Service Corps. At the side of the large flat area where the Ordnance Store was is the long railway cutting that unloaded supplies on the platform. Nearby, a spur of the railway ran up toward the Power House and Pumping Station.
