Description:The roadway separates "M" and "N" Lines whist in the distance on the other side of Old Acre Valley are "S" and "T" Lines upon Sycamore Hill. Behind the tree-line runs Old Camp Road. Another photograph taken in almost the same position shows a traction engine coming up this track, no doubt during the early construction of the Camp and the laying of the roads.
The hut in the centre with the two light sides is a horse shelter and the platform for this building can still be found today along with other platforms created to give a level base for the huts. Strangely there is no evidence of this track to be found today which shows the length they went to after the closure of the Camp and the removal of the huts to return the area back to a grouse moor for the Earl of Lichfield. Conversely, at Rugeley Camp they did not go to so much trouble to remove the evidence there as it was to be leased long term with the formation of the Forestry Commission.
