Date:January 1917

Description:The soldiers are wearing buttons on their caps as badges until they are allocated to a particular regiment. As can be seen on the door they were billeted in "N" Lines at Brocton Camp, in Hut 31 on the side of Old Acre Valley.

Each Battalion Line had 36 huts set in rows for the troops. The officers were housed separately as were the Sergeants. This postcard is dated January 1917, and these men would be sent to fill gaps wherever needed in Regiments across the Western Front with almost two years of the conflict still to endure.
