Description:The rear of this photograph states Brocton Camp, early 1915 and you can see by the vast amount of timber required for the building of the huts that a large number of carpenters were employed from far and wide. Judging by the men and the lady in the front of the image it is an official one for the company that received the contract to build the Camp. Despite starting the work in the Autumn of 1914 troops were moved into Rugeley Camp as early as Spring 1915 which was remarkable and shows what can be accomplished when a country is at War.
